Jakarta – The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Industry has stipulated the Regulation of the Minister of Industry (Permenperin) Number 75 of 2024 concerning the Implementation of Mandatory Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for audio video products. This policy applies to both domestic and imported products to ensure safety and quality standards in accordance with SNI IEC 62368-1:2014.
Audio Video Products that Must Meet SNI
Products that must meet this standard include:
- LCD and CRT Televisions(maximum 55 inches, except OLED, QLED, QNED, and Mini LED).
- DVD and Blu-Ray Players(including standalone combinations).
- Car Head Unit(cassette and optical disc players, except imported vehicle parts).
- Active Speaker(standalone unit, not part of another product).
- Set Top Box(satellite, terrestrial, and cable digital receivers).
Mandatory Compliance
With the enactment of this regulation, manufacturers and importers are required to ensure that their products comply with SNI to improve safety and industrial competitiveness. This regulation aims to protect consumers and improve the quality of audio video products circulating in Indonesia.
